OVERVIEW OF BCF-GHANA

Bushmeat Crisis Foundation-Ghana (BCF-Ghana) has established itself as a local Conservation and Environmental Health non-profit organisation dedicated to addressing illegal trade and harvesting of wildlife resources to protect wildlife and public health.

VISION

We envision a healthy and sustainable future in which local communities are motivated to value wildlife and prevent their extinction.

OBJECTIVES

Promote surveillance on bushmeat trade and consumption to identify and stop the source of zoonoses spillover.
Promote conservation of threatened wildlife through community participation, research and advocacy.
Create awareness on ecosystem health and sustainable development.
Inspire future generations to take action to protect the environment.

Alfred holds BSc. Degree in Natural Resources Management (KNUST) and been involved in environmental conservation since 2003.

Prince is a Master's student in Geo-Information Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology's Department of Wildlife and Range Management (KNUST).

Justice holds MSc. Degree in Business Administration and Bsc. Agriculture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Vincent holds Master’s degree in Peace and Development Studies from the University of Limerick and BSc. Agricultural Economics from KNUST.

Neizer holds BSc. degree from the Biological Science Department, KNUST and has worked with the Ghana Fisheries Commission as a Research Officer.

Konadu holds a BSc. Forest Resources Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She has worked with the Environmental Protection Agency on several ecological research projects in Ghana
